Stupa Specifications
The Stupa Project site at Land of Medicine Buddha is a hilltop meadow, which will be terraced like the famous stupa at
Borobudur, Indonesia (circa 780 - 833), the world’s largest Buddhist monument. The specifications of the 100,000 stupas are as follows:
Base: 11,664 sq. feet (108 ft. each
side)
Height: Approximately 55 ft.
Levels: 13 levels with tens of thousands of various sized stupas up to a total of 100,000 stupas
including:
- Crown Stupa - a 34 ft. high stupa with a room inside for meditation.
- Four Lotus Stupas - 3 ft. high
- Four Enlightenment Stupas - 3 ft. high
- Four Auspicious Stupas with Many Doors - 3 ft. high
- Four Miraculous Feats Stupas - 3 ft. high
- Four Descent Stupas - 3 ft. high
- Four Reconciliation Stupas - 3 ft. high
- Four Victory Stupas - 3 ft. high
- Four Parinirvana Stupas - 3 ft. high
- Hundreds of 13” high Stupas
- Hundreds of 10” high Stupas
- Hundreds of 7” high Stupas
- 108 Prayer Wheels - 2.5 ft. high
Within: The 8,000 sq. ft. hollow of the whole structure will be a sacred space including a 25 ft. Maitreya statue and other holy objects.
Light offerings: Fiber optic lights on each level will emanate to be visible from the sky.
